L108: Control of Noise at Work
We tailor our control of noise at work surveys based on the size of your business, taking into consideration the number of noise sources and staff on site.
Free Initial Consultation
Simply contact us on the phone: 01625 667989, or through our Contact Form at the bottom of the page for a free initial discussion with no obligation. We will ask you a few questions about the size of the work force and the nature of the work undertaken. From the details we can provide a methodology and provide you with a quotation for a survey tailored specifically to your needs.
The next stage involves one or more of our highly trained Noise Consultants visiting your site during a normal working day to take the required measurements of noise. Sites are divided into noise generating processes/areas, and all measurements are made in line with L108 control of noise at works regulations 2005 methodology.
“…but I already have hearing protection in place?”
Any business whose employees are exposed to increased levels of noise (at or around 80dB) should undertake an assessment in accordance with Noise at work regulations. Typical sectors requiring an assessment include: manufacturing, construction, entertainment & restaurants.
At Peak Acoustics we believe that it is wise for any business whose staff are exposed to raised noise levels to seek advice on noise protection. An indicator of excessive noise levels would typically be employees straining to communicate in one or more areas of the workplace.
Protection reduces long term hearing damage and protects against future legal ramifications from long serving staff who have been provided a commensurate level of hearing protection.
Do I Need A Noise At Work Assessment?
Any business who’s employees are exposed to increased levels of noise should undertake an assessment in accordance with Noise At Work Regulations. Especially the sectors of manufacturing, music and entertainment. E.g. Factories, Nightclubs, Live Venues & Restaurants.
At PEAK we believe that it is wise for any business who’s staff are exposed to raised noise levels to seek advice on noise protection. Protection reduces long term hearing damage and protects against future legal arguments from long serving staff who have not been provided a commensurate level of hearing protection.
