Acoustic Survey – The basics
If you’re reading this, chances are that you’ve been asked to get an acoustic survey. Most often this is requested during the planning stage by the local authority, in order to obtain an acoustic report to support the planning application.
In some situations the noise survey requirement will be formalised in writing by the environmental health officer as a planning condition. This will need to be discharged before the development will be granted planning permission.
But the above is just an example of why you might need an acoustic survey.
